William G. “Bill” Pomeroy was the founder and CEO of CXtec® and TERACAI®, two multi-million dollar technology companies based in Syracuse, NY.

CXtec is a global provider of new and certified pre-owned networking and voice equipment. For over 30 years, CXtec has helped customers reduce the cost of their networking and technology infrastructure.

In April 2009, Bill launched sister company TERACAI. TERACAI is a Cisco® Silver Partner that helps commercial, health care and education customers design, install and manage their core networking, communications and data center solutions.

Bill has received several entrepreneurial awards, including the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Entrepreneur of the Year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Syracuse University Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year. Bill is also a past recipient of the Central New York Sales & Marketing Executives Crystal Ball Award, bestowed annually to a local businessperson for contributions to the sales and marketing profession.

Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MBA in Marketing from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is an active member of several local and national non-profit boards, including the National Marrow Donor Program, the Be The Match Foundation, Centerstate CEO and the Erie Canal Museum. He is also on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army of the Syracuse Area, a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Lally School Advisory Council and a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society First Connection Volunteer. In 2006, Bill was honored to receive the annual Courage Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central New York.

Alongside his charitable and community activities, Bill’s personal interests include amateur radio, travel and adventure, collecting coins, stamps, recorded music and mainframe computers and genealogy. He currently resides in Lafayette, NY with his wife Sandra.
