The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation.

The William G. Pomeroy Foundation has learned that when a property or district is placed on the National Register of Historic Places, the designation does not include funding for a plaque or sign, and there are many sites that do not have signage.  Commemorative signage on a property or in a district may be the only indicators of the historic significance.  Therefore, in June 2013, the foundation established a grant program to fund either a plaque or a sign to identify your property’s designation.
This grant is available to commemorate public properties or districts that are on the National Register.  We will accept applications at any time throughout the year.  At this time, funding is not available for private residences or commercial properties.
