Higgins historical marker, Just a Dream: A Story That Would Not Be Forgotten continues the work of bringing Jewelia’s remarkable life and legacy into public view through live storytelling, music, photographs, and a collection of original family documents and artifacts. The September 20 event offers an opportunity to experience the history behind the marker and to learn more about Jewelia’s civic and suffrage work, her family, and the generations who preserved her story.
