The Town of Brookfield Historical Society will host an open house and dedication ceremony for a new marker commemorating abolitionist Calvin Whitford, who founded the Brookfield Liberty Association. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at his former home. Attendees will have the opportunity to see Whitford’s personal papers, furniture and artifacts.
