Former Railbed NYS Historic Marker Dedication

On Tuesday, June 18, Trail Works, Inc. will host a dedication ceremony for a new historic roadside marker commemorating the former railway that ran from Sodus Point to Stanley, N.Y. The dedication will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the northeast corner of Ridge Road and North Geneva Road. Following the dedication, Trail Works will host its monthly Board of Director’s meeting at Alasa Farms located at 6450 Shaker Road, Town of Sodus, N.Y.

The former railway is now the Sodus-Wallington Rail Trail. It’s a multi-use trail running from Ridge Road into the village of Sodus Point.
