The Route 20 Association of New York State will host a dedication ceremony for a new historic marker commemorating William A. Hulbert, a founder of baseball’s National League. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the green in Hulbert’s birthplace of Burlington Flats, N.Y.

Hulbert was born in Burlington Flats in 1832. He grew up in Chicago and would go on to become a founder of baseball’s National League and its president. For that, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995.
