Suffragist, author and editor Alice M. Hubbard was a leading figure of the Roycroft community in East Aurora, New York. The group was established by her husband Elbert Hubbard. In 1913 she participated in the Suffrage Parade in Washington D.C. Tragically, both Alice and her husband were among the victims lost in the sinking the RMS Lusitania in 1915.
