Located in the Town of Evans, New York is the Cash Cemetery. With burials going back as early as ca. 1836, the cemetery contains some of the community’s earliest residents, including William and Sarah Cash, as well as their son, Whiting, who served during the War of 1812.

Most of the known burials at this site are members of the Cash family, and the cemetery is established on part of the original 464-acres William Cash purchased from the Holland Land Company in 1819 upon arriving to the area.

A recent survey of the cemetery has identified nearly two dozen graves, though more may exist.
