This old tale in Fly Creek describes how Cattown Road got its name. The story goes that when a women’s meeting ran long at one of the attendee’s homes, some of the husbands climbed onto the roof and dropped a cat down a chimney to break up the meeting. When the cat landed, it startled the women so much that they forgot about continuing the meeting and went home to begin dinner.
