Byersville Cemetery contains at least 52 interred individuals, with recorded burials spanning from 1834 to 1928. The site serves as a final resting place for members of the Beyers, Goho, and Stoner families, who were early pioneer settlers arriving from Pennsylvania in the early 1800s. The hamlet of Byersville takes its name from the Beyers family.

The grounds also hold the remains of two Civil War veterans. Moses Sarvis served with the 1st NY Dragoons, and William H. Libby held the rank of Sergeant within Company G of the 58th NY Infantry National Guard.
