Emma Biddlecom Sweet was a trusted assistant to Susan B. Anthony and other suffrage leaders.  She handled correspondence, helped with conferences and later would speak at suffrage groups on how to achieve the vote and encouraged the workers. She traveled across the nation and internationally to meet with other suffrage leaders.
