The first meeting of the Walden Woman’s Club was held at this church on November 1, 1909. As affiliates of the New York State Federation of Woman’s Clubs, the Walden Woman’s Club supported women’s suffrage. It is believed that the first woman to vote in Walden was Mrs. Frank Benedict, the club’s president.
