WILLIAM G. POMEROY FOUNDATION 2021

The First Methodist Episcopal Society of Jacksonville purchased land in Ulysses in 1825 and erected church soon after (1825-1827). When the new church was built, the old church was relocated to the west (its current location as of 2021) for use as a Town Hall (in 1899). Later, a new town hall was built and the former town hall building was sold to a private owner. A bait shop was located here in 1959-63 and it has served as a private residence since.
