Honey Joe Road is said to be named after Joseph Micklavzina, a local farmer, bee keeper and bootlegger. “Honey Joe” hid his wine inside beehives. One hot, August afternoon, federal agents were said to have searched the property but came up empty handed because one of Joe’s clients tipped him off early.
