A small cemetery in the town of Sheldon in Wyoming County, New York is the final resting place of Revolutionary War veteran Uriah Person, along with at least nine veterans of the War of 1812, including Dr. Ziba Hamilton, who served as a surgeon during the conflict. Referred to as Persons Cemetery, it contains burials dating from around 1819 to 1863. They are believed to be about 30 burials in total.

Revolutionary War veteran Uriah Person served in the New Jersey Militia during the war. He settled in Sheldon around 1806 and passed away in 1842. Dr. Ziba Hamilton settled in Sheldon around 1810 and served as a surgeon in the 164th Regiment of the New York Militia during the War of 1812. He passed away in 1855.
