Pomeroy Markers tell stories, honor legacies, and strengthen the fabric of communities. These markers spark local pride, inspire tourism, and make history visible where it happened. Since 2006, the program has funded more than 1,150 markers across all 62 New York counties.
Other Pomeroy Foundation marker programs in New York include Hungry for History®, Legends & Lore®, Historic Transportation, and National Register, each designed to highlight unique aspects of local heritage.
