The present-day site of Forest Lawn Cemetery was the homestead of Erastus Granger, Seneca Indian Agent appointed by President Thomas Jefferson. Granger also served as a judge, postmaster and was a collector of Port. He lived at this location in Buffalo from 1806 to 1826.
