The Sodus Point and Southern Railroad was an integral part of the transportation system supplying Pennsylvania coal to Canada and importing timber and grain. Passenger travel was also available as the line connected with the Elmira & Canandaigua Railroad at Stanley. The railbed is now part of the Sodus-Wallington Rail Trail.
