Munger Cemetery is a short distance from the community of Saratoga Springs, New York near Geyser Park, also known as Veterans Memorial Park.  Salmon Munger and his daughter Ruth are buried in this small family cemetery. Born in 1766, Salmon Munger farmed this land from around 1800 until his death on May 8, 1814. He was laid to rest alongside his daughter Ruth who died several years earlier, on August 26, 1810. Eventually Munger’s land passed on to his sons, Gideon and Luther, who continued to farm it until 1834.

A short, rectangular stone wall surrounds the burial site and a headstone marks each of their graves. As time progressed, the land containing Salmon Munger’s farm and its tiny Munger Cemetery came to border Geyser Park in 1986. As of 2020, visitors going to the park or those on County Road 43 can still see the Munger Cemetery with its stone wall and two headstones.
