Abolitionist Jervis Landon sold his home to Daniel Pratt, President of the Second National Bank in Elmira, in 1862. The house was originally thought to have been destroyed, but was actually moved from its original location on East Union Street around 1876, to where it stands today at 413 Lake Street.
