WILLIAM G. POMEROY FOUNDATION 2018

The story goes that in the 1850s, Abner Greenfield’s young son, Bill, a rising folk hero and “growing lumberjack”, pulled up cedar trees at the site of what is now Pagenstecher Park in order to make stilts. He would then use the stilts to catch fish at Palmer Falls.
