In rural communities, one room school houses were instrumental for the education of children of all ages. District No. 2 Schoolhouse once stood at this site in the hamlet of Thompsonville. The land was purchased by the district trustees and was sold in 1957. This Schoolhouse was 1 of 19 Thompson Schools in 1875.
